[Characteristics and role of NK- and K-cells in tumor rejection]

The lymphocytic subpopulations of K and NK cells are characterized by their surface markers and modes of reaction. It was not possible to distinguish one population from the other. Methods are represented for showing the K and NK activities. The significance of these lymphocytes for elimination of tumor cells by the immunological system of the organism is discussed.
