A case of the acute edema of the uterine cervix in a woman in the ninth lunar month of pregnancy is described. The cervix was the size of a fist, livid, succulent, with a slightly bloody discharge. No other objective or subjective disorders were obserevd. The swelling disappeared after seven days of rest and antibiotic therapy.
