[Experience in active detection of oncological diseases at industrial enterprises in the Armenian SSR]

A questionnaire-based mass screening was conducted at a number of industrial enterprises in the Armenian SSR. The results were evaluated on the basis of 11,035 comprehensive questionnaires. It was found that instrumental, laboratory, X-ray and morphological examination had to be carried out in 1,116 persons (10,1%). Neoplasms of the most frequent localizations were detected in 19 cases (0.17%). The advantages of premedication with seduxen during mass screening are discussed.
