Summary

Specific IgE testing for cow's milk allergens in infants revealed that while alpha-lactalbumin and beta-lactoglobulin are common culprits, a "total cow's milk proteins" test is more sensitive for diagnosing intolerance. Total IgE levels correlated significantly with positive RAST results.
