    Summary

    Researchers found lower levels of alpha 2 collagen RNA precursors in Rous sarcoma virus-transformed chick embryo fibroblasts (RSV-CEF) compared to normal CEF. This suggests the Rous sarcoma virus protein p60src may control collagen synthesis transcriptionally.
