Transmucosal implants of dense hydroxylapatite.

    Summary

    Transmucosal hydroxylapatite implants show good bone adhesion and gingival tissue attachment, similar to natural teeth. Ceramic material fatigue failure was observed, suggesting prestressing as a potential solution for implant longevity.
