[Z-shaped wound closure of circular defects by wedge flaps]

This article deals with several possibilities of closing round wound defects. We especially refer to the wedge-shaped shifting flap technique that has been developed at the Department of Dermatology of the University of Marburg. This method can be applied, if roundish defects have a diameter of 1.0 up to 2.8 cm.
