Adenosquamous carcinoma of prostate

Background:

• Repeat TURP revealed both glandular and squamous differentiation in the primary prostate tumor.

Findings:

• The development of adenosquamous carcinoma occurred without prior estrogen or radiation therapy.
• The metastatic lesions demonstrated a significant positive response to diethylstilbestrol (DES) treatment.
