Snakebite. Comparison of three methods designed to delay uptake of 'mock venom'

Research at Monash University on 12 volunteers shows that uptake from an injected protein bolus may be prevented by application of a thick firm pad and tight bandage. Its application as a possible first aid treatment for snakebite is discussed and compared with other methods.
