    Summary

    Etomidate is a safe anesthetic induction agent, causing minimal cardiovascular and respiratory effects. It effectively reduces intraocular pressure and offers a viable alternative to thiopental, especially when barbiturate contraindications exist.

    Purpose of the Study:
