Digital subtraction angiography in the evaluation of cerebrovascular disease

Intravenous DSA provides a safe, accurate, and cost-effective means of examining the extracranial and intracranial vasculature on an inpatient or outpatient basis. Intra-arterial DSA provides better spatial resolution than IV-DSA and has advantages over conventional film-screen angiography. The authors demonstrate the applications and limitations of this revolutionary diagnostic technique.
