Non-content indicators of the rhythm are employed to exercise operative control over the functions of implanted cardiostimulators. The paper discusses issues concerned with the circuitry and the setup of subassemblies in such indicators, e.g. the sensor, amplifier, pulse expander, oscillator and output stage.
