Regression analysis in physiological research: some comments on the problem of repeated measurements

Abstract:
The statistical implications of repeated-measures linear regression, in which each subject contributes several pairs of measurements to the analysis, are discussed in the context of physiological research. The major point of the paper is that standard least-squares procedures cannot be applied without modification to regression problems with repeated measures. An example is given.
