    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the independent and combined effects of auditory and visual imagery on free recall.
    • To determine if augmenting imagery through specific sensory-motor actions enhances recall.

    • Three experiments were conducted with college student participants (n=48-64).
    • Participants were presented with words varying in imagery (minimal, visual, auditory, or both) and given specific imagery instructions.
