    Background:

    • Cataract extraction with intraocular lens implantation is a common ophthalmic procedure.
    • Complications can arise during surgery, necessitating prompt management.

    Observation:

    • During cataract surgery, two-thirds of Descemet's membrane was inadvertently stripped into the anterior chamber.
    • The stripped membrane was successfully repositioned using anterior chamber air injection.

    Findings:

    • The repositioned Descemet's membrane remained attached and functional post-surgery.
    • Visual acuity in the affected eye recovered to 6/9 sixteen months after the procedure.

    Implications:

    • This case highlights the potential for successful management of Descemet's membrane detachment during cataract surgery.
    • Air injection is an effective technique for repositioning stripped Descemet's membrane, preserving visual function.
