[An electric aspirator for the collection of Phlebotomus]

An improved mechanical method of aspirating Phlebotomine sandflies is described. The method avoids inhalation of harmful particles. Some 150 to 200 sandflies could be collected at a time without appreciable mortality. Sandflies collected are in excellent taxonomic condition.
