[Removal of the RNA from Pseudomonas thermophila cells]

The RNA content in the cells of Pseudomonas thermophila K-2 grown at 50 degrees comprise 13% of dry weight during exponential growth and 5% of dry biomass in the stationary phase. 60% RNA is degraded after 10 min exposure to heat shock at 70 degrees and subsequent incubation at 50 degrees for 2 hours.
