Occurrence and pathology of intracutaneous cornifying epitheliomas in Mastomys natalensis, the multimammate mouse

Twelve mastomys (Mastomys natalensis) about two years old developed several raised, varying sized, multiple scurfy growths on most of the external parts of the body over a period of two months. No metastatic lesions were observed in the internal organs at necropsy. Histological examination of the cutaneous lesions revealed that the growths were comprised of intracutaneous cornifying epitheliomas.
