[Peripheral muscle blood flow in spinal cord trauma patients based on 133Xe study data]
Abstract:
Studies with 133Xe on the voluminous muscular blood flow in the lower limbs of patients with trauma of the spine and spinal cord showed significant disturbance of the regional peripheral hemodynamics. In a spinal cord trauma the blood flow rate is reduced irrespective of patients' age and the site of trauma. The most noticeable disturbances of the peripheral blood flow are observed in patients with the affected cervical and upper thoracic regions of the spinal cord as compared to the thoracolumbar region.
