[Urodynamic studies on postmicturition dribble]

Sixteen patients presenting with a symptom of postmicturition dribble were studied. All the patients were examined by the technique of voiding cysto-urethrography recording on video-tape. The findings of the videocysto -urethrography confirmed that postmicturition dribble resulted from a residue of urine in the bulbar urethra. No urodynamic abnormality was seen in the six patients who had no other symptom or disease. The patient is instructed to compress the bulbar urethra manually in the perineum after micturition and evacuate the bulbar residual urine. Symptomatic relief is usually obtained.
