    Background:

    • Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease.
    • Granulocyte function, including chemotaxis, is crucial in inflammatory responses.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare granulocyte chemotaxis in ulcerative colitis patients versus healthy individuals.
    • To investigate the relationship between chemotaxis and UC disease activity.
    • To assess the effect of tinidazole on granulocyte migration in UC.

    Main Methods:

    • Leukocyte Migration Under Agarose Technique (LMAT) was used to assess granulocyte chemotaxis.
