    Summary

    Protriptyline, a non-sedating antidepressant, effectively reduced daytime sleepiness and improved oxygen levels in men with obstructive sleep apnea. While not a complete cure, it offered significant symptom reduction and benefits in sleep quality.

    Background:

    • Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common sleep disorder characterized by repeated airway collapse.

    • To evaluate the efficacy of protriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, in treating obstructive sleep apnea.
