[Postheparin plasmatic diamineoxidase (DAO) in chronic liver and kidney diseases (author's transl)]
PLasmatic Diamineoxidase (DAO) was studied after heparin injections i.v. (50 I.U./kg b.w.) in chronic liver and kidney diseases. The DAO increase after heparin is reduced in patients as to controls. Such a reduction may be consequence of DAO discharge in some organs determined by the deliverance of endogenous heparin.
