[Occurrence of stationary waves in angiography of peripheral vessels]
Abstract:
Among 229 angiographies of peripheral vascular occlusions performed in 1981 and during the first half of 1982 at the Radiologic Clinic of Münster University, stationary waves developed in one case in the vascular band before the occlusion. This phenomenon can be a pointer towards assuming that over long distances before the occlusion there is no satisfactory outflow provided for by collaterals, intact arterio-arterial or arterio-venous connections.
