    Background:

    • Endometriosis is a condition where endometrial-like tissue occurs outside the uterus.
    • Pelvic endometriosis is relatively common, but appendiceal endometriosis is exceptionally rare.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To present the pathological findings and clinical aspects of endometriosis affecting the vermiform appendix.
    • To assess the incidence of appendiceal endometriosis in relation to pelvic endometriosis.

    • Retrospective review of 10,000 appendectomy specimens examined between 1950 and 1981.
