[Method of determining the endothelial cell count of the cerebral vessels]

A method of quantitative analysis of endothelial cell population in the rat brain is based on the cell ability to accumulate biogenic amines under pharmacological treatment of animals. The high-sensitive fluorescent-histochemical method of Falck and Owman was used for determination of biogenic amines. Preparations with high contrast permit to use a machine analysis using the "PRIAK" or "CELLOTRON" systems for statistical calculation of tissue sections.
