    Summary

    This study found that peak plasma clonidine concentrations strongly correlate with the maximum decrease in blood pressure for patients with essential hypertension. Steady-state levels showed a weaker correlation, highlighting the importance of peak levels for predicting blood pressure response.

    Background:
