Hiatal hernia co-existing with oesophago-gastric malignancy

The signs, symptoms and outcome of 28 patients with coincidental hiatus hernia and carcinoma of the lower oesophagus are given. The difficulties in making the diagnosis are discussed. The outcome was poor.
