    Summary

    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the differences in vaginal microbial flora between women with and without non-specific vaginitis.
    • To identify key bacterial species and biochemical markers indicative of NSV.

    Main Methods:

    • Comparative analysis of vaginal microbial flora in 40 women with NSV and 40 controls using anaerobic culture techniques.
    • Gas liquid chromatography (GLC) analysis of vaginal secretions to detect short-chain organic acids.

    • Specific biochemical markers, including a distinct organic acid profile and clinical signs, are highly indicative of NSV.
    • These findings support the use of both microbiological and biochemical analyses for diagnosing non-specific vaginitis.
