Abstract:
A detailed description of the punctate and secretion of the parotid gland in Sjögren's syndrome is presented. In all the stages of the disease 11 out of 12 sick women were found to have lymphocytes of various degrees of maturity, reticular cells, neutrophils and microflora. With the development of pathological changes the cell elements of the secretory and ductal epithelium were less frequently found in the preparations. Occasionally, altered myoepithelial and epithelial cells were observed.
