    Summary

    The Inter-Community Longitudinal Health (ICLH) ankle replacement, first used in 1972, shows a 70% acceptable outcome rate in 75 implantations. Delayed wound healing and talomalleolar pain were common complications, necessitating cautious application of this ankle arthroplasty.
