Leukocyte transfusion in severe neonatal varicella

A female neonate with severe varicella is reported. She was treated with THF and a leukocyte transfusion from her convalescent mother. This procedure seems to have been a turning point, after which she recovered fully. There were no untoward effects from this treatment.
