Lymph node cells from normal mouse donors, sensitized in vitro with syngeneic chemically induced sarcoma cells, release a macrophage slowing factor after interaction with solubilized tumour-associated antigen. The reaction is specific, i.e., MSF can be detected in the MEM test, if TAA for challenge are prepared from the tumour used for sensitization.
