[Task of a day hospital in geriatrics]

The necessity to establish geriatric day hospitals was described under consideration of epidemiology, humanity, organization and economy. The subject matter of work, structure, localities and function were detailed pointed out. The report presents an important way solving the tasks of policy of health in future. It were made references to the manner of work and first experiences in the day hospital of the Geriatric Center in Berlin-Buch, GDR.
