[Training of parents in constructive psychoprophylactic interventions]
Abstract:
The article deals with the development of a prophylactic parent training course conducted on community psychological principles and presents initial results of a study on the success of such courses. The indirect target group consisted of junior school pupils (pre-puberal and puberal age) but the course participants were parents. The aim of the course was to prevent cerebrovisceral regulation disturbances induced by emotional stress situations and to help the indirect target group to cope with acute abnormal reactions to their experiences in a way that enhances development of their personalities. The course concentrated on helping the participants to show "understanding for the rising generation" by filling gaps in their knowledge and enlarging their palette of behavioural patterns in a psychological decentralization process.
