[Current determination of ovulation time. 1. Rapid LH determination in serum and urine]
Abstract:
Short-term recording of LH rise is a possible approach to ovulation forecast. Hormone values in serum and four-hour urine can be obtained in three and half hours by modification of a commercial radio-immunological LH test. The results were compared with data obtained from the HI Gonavis test. Observable LH rise can be detected between three and six hours earlier by LH serum measurement, as compared to collected urine. Suitable information may be obtained also from LH urine assay, a non-invasive method of ovulation prediction.
