Abstract:

This is a report of a 74 year old female patient with a septic arthritis of the DIP-joint of the left index finger. Treatment consisted of joint debridement and placement of one Gentamycin-PMMA-Bead in the residual defect. The bead was then left in the defect as a fulcrum for painfree motion in the new DIP-joint.
