    Background:

    • Myasthenia gravis is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of cyclophosphamide in treating myasthenia gravis.
    • To determine long-term outcomes and remission rates in patients treated with cyclophosphamide.

    Main Methods:

    • A cohort of 42 myasthenia gravis patients received cyclophosphamide therapy over 2-37 months.
    • Concomitant prednisone use was recorded for 33 patients.
    • Remission was defined as asymptomatic for at least 6 months without medication.

    Main Results:

    • 60% of patients were asymptomatic at the study's end.
    • 74% showed improvement within 1 month.
    • Remission rates increased with treatment duration: 58% (1 year), 86% (2 years), 100% (32 months).
