[Thoughts on the radical intervention of transurethral electroresection in bladder cancer]
Abstract:
As part of an operative intervention spectrum transurethral electroresection has a considerable breadth of indications for curable carcinomas of the bladder. In order to make use of it for radical surgery one must, on the one hand, perform technically subtle, standardized additional resections in order to confirm that the tumour has been exterminated from the healthy tissue, and, on the other hand, respect limits set by localization and infiltration. Technical and tactical problems and the method of guaranteeing radicality are presented along with a curative-operative integration programme.
