Abstract:
Epidural venography has proven to be a practical and viable examination, complementing myelography, in the diagnosis of intervertebral disk pathology. Epidural venography is of special value where myelogram results are negative or questionable, but clinical symptoms of herniated nucleus pulposus persists. The ability to achieve technically consistent, highly diagnostic results will often indicate the success of epidural venography becoming a frequently performed procedure in the radiology department.
