[Does hypnosis not exist?]

On the basis of the books by Barber, Spanos and Chaves "Hypnosis, imagination and human potentialities" recently translated into Italian and "Hypnosis, a scientific approach" by Barber and on the basis of personal experience and researches carried out over 45 years, some personal ideas on the clinical and scientific aspects of hypnosis are presented. The conclusions of the above mentioned Authors are confuted as well as their approach to hypnosis defined as "objective-behavioural".
