"Alpha-coma" in association with generalization paroxysmal (spike-wave) activity: a case report

This study details a patient with severe hypoxic encephalopathy whose electroencephalogram showed alpha-coma and spike-wave activity. Dilantin successfully suppressed the spike-wave activity, preserving the alpha rhythm, a previously underexplored association.
