Background:

Legionella pneumophila is a bacterium known to cause pneumonia.
Acute kidney injury (AKI) can be a complication of severe infections.
Interstitial nephritis is an inflammation of the kidney tubules and surrounding tissue.

Purpose of the Study:

To report a case of acute interstitial nephritis secondary to Legionella pneumophila infection.
To highlight the clinical presentation and management of this rare complication.
To emphasize the importance of considering Legionella in patients with unexplained renal failure and pneumonia.

Case report of a patient with pneumonia and acute renal failure.
