A technique for center thickness measurement of hydrogel contact lenses

Several techniques for measuring the center thickness of hydrogel contact lenses with the radiuscope are discussed. A new device which is used in conjunction with the radiuscope is also discussed. The results of reliability and repeatability studies using this device indicate that it is possible to measure with ease the center thickness of hydrogel lenses to within 0.01 mm.
