[Polar nephrectomy in the treatment of renal lithiasis. Clinical and histopathological study]

25 cases of intrarenal stones treated by polar nephrectomy are described, followed by the histological description of each operative specimen with emphasis on lesions of papillae, caliceal fornices and the intrarenal "skeleton". These lesions are related to the clinical presentation, in particular to the length of evolution.
