[Malignant gemmahemangioma (gemmangioma) of the breast]

One observation of a gemmahemangioma (gemmaangioma) in a woman of 45 is presented. The tumour of a rounded shape, 0.8 cm in diameter, elastic consistency, lobular on the section, was located in the subcutaneous fatty tissue of the left mammary gland. The histological structure of the tumour corresponded to gemmahemangioma consisting of vascular kidneys with polymorphism and hyperchromatosis of the nuclei of the cellular elements forming them, with marked mitotic activity. The tumour is considered to be malignant, in the early stage of its development, without definite signs of infiltrating growth.
