    Summary

    This study reports the first case of Castleman's benign lymphoma linked to angiohamartomatous changes in peripheral fibroadipose tissue. A potential pathogenetic connection between these conditions is hypothesized.

    • A unique case involving a 48-year-old male patient presented with a retroperitoneal mass.
    • The mass was located in the left inferior retroperitoneal area, extending into the ipsilateral inguinal region.

    Findings:

    • The resected lesion demonstrated features of Castleman's benign lymphoma.
    • Concurrently, angiohamartomatous alterations were identified within the peripheral fibroadipose tissue component of the lesion.

    Implications:

    • This case suggests a potential pathogenetic link between Castleman's disease and angiohamartomatous changes.
    • Further research is warranted to elucidate the relationship and underlying mechanisms of this combined presentation.
