    Background:

    • Juvenile periodontitis (JP) is a severe form of gum disease.
    • Polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNLs) are crucial for fighting infections.
    • Defects in PMNL function may contribute to periodontal disease susceptibility.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To assess PMNL chemotaxis in various forms of periodontitis.
    • To investigate the nature of PMNL defects in localized juvenile periodontitis (LJP).
    • To evaluate the impact of periodontal treatment on PMNL function.

    • Studied PMNL chemotaxis in patients with LJP, generalized juvenile periodontitis (GJP), post-LJP, and adult periodontitis.
