The Author reviews 102 cases of primary choledochotomy treated during a 14 years period of biliary surgery; he examines immediate and follow-up results. The excellent results are ascribed parthy for the exactues of indication, parthy to transduodenal sphincteroplasty that had been combined with aforesaid operation in 76% of cases.
