A reply to Kausler: to rehearse or not to rehearse; was that our question?

A reply is made to criticisms by Kausler of a previous study by these authors. Two main points are discussed: the main thrust of the previous study and the use of the concept "rehearsal deficit". Suggestions for testing a specific rehearsal deficit hypothesis are given.
